Vision: For strong and active local networks of women who have the resources and support they need to achieve personal and collective success, and to contribute to the well-being of the broader community.

Mission: To make it easier to find local women leaders and resources including woman-owned businesses, nonprofits and other community organizations that primarily serve women or girls.

What is The Women’s Book?

  • We are a print and online communications platform that showcases women’s news, leaders and resources.
  • We communicate through four primary channels: An annually published coffee table book style magazine that features a resource directory, special interest topics and leader profiles; a Web site; an e-newsletter; and social media networks including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Content is driven by editorial and publishing staff in each of our target markets.
  • We currently publish magazines for the Columbus, Ohio area.  We will also publish in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2010 and Cleveland, Ohio in 2011.  Additional cities outside of Ohio are also planned for future years.

Who is our target market? 

 

Our target audience is females: Women who are career and community-focused.  Readers are typically involved in business and community organizations.  We also work to provide disadvantaged women and girls with direct access to our printed publications in collaboration with business and community organizations.  

 

How Are The Women’s Book's Printed Publications Distributed?

What Makes The Women's Book Different?

 

We are NOT a nonprofit or membership-based organization. 

 

We do NOT seek to compete with women's organizations - our goal is to help promote and support them by making it easier to find them through our printed publications and Web site.

 

We engage readers in a variety of ways: Through printed publications, our Web site and social media platforms to help keep readers connected, informed and inspired.

Our unique features include:

  • Book unveiling and other events that allow readers to learn more about us, and to connect with each other and the women we profile
  • An online calendar of local women-oriented events
  • An annually printed and online resource directory that the entire community can access
